In our article Electrical – How do I extract Spice IV parameters from an LED datasheet? we show an example of using a "G" circuit element to add an IV reference line to the plot pane. This is a useful time saver and we will show another example. In the figure below we have inserted two voltage controlled current sources and defined tables that provide reference lines at the Vf binning point for the SST-10-UV component. This part is Vf binned at 500 mA and we want an easy way to tell if the Spice IV simulation is in a particular bin.
An example of the utility of this would be if one wanted to determine a set of Spice parameters contained in a single voltage bin for later analysis using a Monte Carlo sampling of a number of IV cures.
This Spice file is in the downloads section. Other models that can be inserted from the components menu are summarized here: http://cmosedu.com/jbaker/courses/ee221/s19/Dependent_sources.pdf
